To convert Arabic numerals (standard numerals used in everyday life) to Roman numerals, we convert the Arabic numeral to its equivalent Roman numeral representation. Here below we have given the original Roman numerals.

1. Now, to convert the Arabic numerals to Roman numerals, start from the leftmost digit of the Arabic numeral.
2. Find the largest Roman numeral smaller than or equal to the Arabic numeral.
3. Write that Roman numeral and subtract its value from the Arabic numeral.
Similarly, repeat steps 2-3 until the entire Arabic numeral is converted.
Here, we have given an example of Arabic numeral 354. We will understand easily with this example.
Here, we first count 100 (C) from 354, as 354 is less than 500 (D), so we write CCC three times for 300. 54 is greater than 50 (L) but smaller than 100 (C), so we write ‘ L’. Subtract 50 from 54, 4 remains. 4 is greater than 1 (I) but smaller than 5 (V), so we write ‘IV’.
Subtract 4 from 4 and 0 remains.
All in all – 354 in Arabic numerals is CCC L IV in Roman numerals.
